Do you supply the alcohol?
- Hitch and Pour is a "dry" mobile bar service.
- Due to Michigan liquor laws, we cannot hold a liquor license since we are mobile, and thus all alcohol is provided/purchased by you (the host).
How do you prep for the event?
- Once the drink menu is created, we can provide a recommended alcohol shopping list for you based on your guest count and hours of service.
- We provide the garnishments and bar needs (cups, straws, napkins, etc...) to ensure your party is well-stocked and ready to serve your guests.
What does the event day look like?
- We’ll show up 60-90 minutes before your event begins, set up the service area, and be ready to serve as your first guests arrive.
- Near the end of the event, you'll let us know the final head count and we will settle up!
Where are you located, how far do you travel, and what areas do you serve?
- We are located in Canton, MI and pricing includes travel within a 25-mile radius of 48187.
- However, we are willing to take a road trip! Travel beyond a 25 mile radius will be billed at $2 per mile for anything over 50 miles round trip.
- We are happy to serve most of SE Michigan!
What are the space and logistic requirements for the trailer?
- The trailer requires access to be parked on a flat surface with enough room to be pulled-in or backed-in by a standard pickup truck.
- Trailer dimensions are roughly 8’ wide 12’ long 9’ tall. We also suggest about 8 feet is open in front of the serving window for guests to gather and limit congestion.
- The electrical requirement is standard 110V electricity – we’ll bring the extension cord.
What types of events do you do?
- Weddings, Anniversaries, Divorces, Birthdays, Celebrations of Life, Baby & Wedding Showers, Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties, Gender Reveals, Retirement Parties, Grad Parties, Neighborhood Block Parties, and Corporate Events including but not limited to Grand Openings, Fundraisers, Appreciation Days/Weeks, and Employee Picnics/Parties.
Are there events we don't do?
- We are open to just about anything! Contact us to discuss your event and we'll make it work.
- To limit alcohol liability for the hosts (and us) and to reduce "carding" at events that host primarily minors (like a High School Grad Party), there are a few options for the host to consider including wrist bands, drink tickets, age verification by the host, etc.
- We can also offer "Dry Bar" options like non-alcoholic drinks and separation of areas for everyone's safety.
Do you carry insurance?
- Yes, we carry Liquor Liability and General Liability Insurance.
- Additionally, our bartenders are TIPS certified in the state of Michigan. (Training for Intervention ProcedureS)
What about bad weather on the day of the event?
- As we know, Michigan weather can be unpredictable. Unfortunately, we cannot refund events due to the weather, but we can work with you on an alternate date based on our availability.
